DanceMom.com Readers
Name Their Top Competitions
January
3, 2008
The moms have spoken!
For six weeks in the Fall of 2007, DanceMom.com readers were asked to
rate competitions that they -- and their dancing
child(ren), of course -- had attended during the
previous dance year. More than 80 competitions
were rated as part of this year's survey, with readers scoring the
competitions on the Bronze (low) through High
Platinum (high) scale that is so familiar to dance
parents. Nearly 10,000 votes were cast, and
the result have now been tabulated.
Leading the pack this year were
Kids Artistic Revue and New York City Dance
Alliance -- the only two competitions earning a High Platinum
designation from DanceMom.com readers.
Seven
others -- Nexstar, Onstage New York,
Showbiz, Showstopper, Spotlight,
Starpower and Stars of Tomorrow --
followed closely behind earning Platinum honors.
For the next
year, these nine competitions have earned the right
to carry the label as a "DanceMom.com Reader
Recommended Competition."

This is the second year that
DanceMom.com readers have turned the subjective
rating tables on the competitions.
